The new MT-Mixator optimises the well-proven screw-based MT solids feeding system. This new system ensures regular and efficient biogas plant operation.
Recirculated material is flushed directly from the digester through a pipe into the stuffing screw of the solids feeding system. At the same time, non-pumpable substrates such as silage and solid manure are fed into the stuffing screw, which then acts as a mixing screw.
Solids and recirculated material are then already mixed when fed into the digester.
The advantages:
- Reduction of floating layers and heavy deposits.
- Lower mixing requirements in the digester mean less energy consumption.
- Less wear due to shorter stirring times.
- Positive biological effects on substrate decomposition.
- Regular gas production and homogenous gas composition.
- Recirculation from the secondary digester into the digester can be reduced.
- Lower sensitivity to extraneous material in comparison to other liquid feeding systems.
- Easily retrofitted to an existing MT-screw feeding system.
