MT-Energie GmbH is one of the leading producers of complete biogas plants of all sizes as well as special components. The company is located in Zeven, Northern Germany. With the know-how that comes from many years of experience, we are able to offer our clients systems which are both economic to run and highly efficient.
Our service portfolio not only includes the development, planning and construction of biogas plants but also intensive technical services and biological process support. In addition, the MT Group offers innovative gas processing and feed technology for natural gas upgrading through MT-Biomethan GmbH. In 2006 we started our international expansion, the beginning of a number of branch foundations in many European countries. Today, the company is active in diverse European markets and in the USA and Canada.
The financial year 2011 has been the most successful in MT-Energie GmbH's company history. In the past financial year the company installed more than 135 new plants and was thus able to hand over its 500th biogas plant to its operator at the end of 2011. With a consolidated turnover of € 198.9 million, MT-Energie was able to achieve a growth of 38.6% as opposed to last year's result of €143.5 million. The EBIT rose disproportionately by approx. 80% to € 17.6 million. According to internal estimates, its EBIT margin of 8.8% allows MT-Energie to count itself among the most profitable biogas plant manufacturers in Europe.
MT-Energie sees itself as equally well positioned for the 2012 business year. The growing importance of foreign markets has been met by a timely expansion into other European countries. Currently, over 50% of all outstanding orders are from foreign European customers.
