The biogas plant at Swancote has been expanded immediately after construction from 500kW to 1MW. Its substrate mix is significant for the UK market: it is not just limited to the renewable resources which are common in Germany, but consists partially of organic residues.

The plant consists of two digesters with solid feeding systems, a secondary digester and two residue storage tanks. After commissioning, the Swancote plant will run with a very high capacity and reliability which is usual for MT-Energie’s biogas plants.
