MT-Energie realised its successful market entry into the UK with the commissioning of the Barfoot Energy biogas plant – all within one year.

The 1 MWel. plant near the Southern English seaside resort Bognor Regis consists of two digesters and a secondary digester. The digestate is stored in a connected lagoon. The plant is operated using mostly waste from sweet corn production. Other input substrates include waste from vegetable production and maize silage.
