MT-Mixator

Pre-mixing system for heightened efficiency

The new MT-Mixator optimises the well-proven screw-based MT solids feeding system. This new system ensures regular and efficient biogas plant operation.

Recirculated material is flushed directly from the digester through a pipe into the stuffing screw of the solids feeding system. At the same time, non-pumpable substrates such as silage and solid manure are fed into the stuffing screw, which then acts as a mixing screw.

Solids and recirculated material are then already mixed when fed into the digester.

The advantages:

  • Reduction of floating layers and heavy deposits.
  • Lower mixing requirements in the digester mean less energy consumption.
  • Less wear due to shorter stirring times.
  • Positive biological effects on substrate decomposition.
  • Regular gas production and homogenous gas composition.
  • Recirculation from the secondary digester into the digester can be reduced.
  • Lower sensitivity to extraneous material in comparison to other liquid feeding systems.
  • Easily retrofitted to an existing MT-screw feeding system.
