Christoph Martens

(b. 1966), is the founder and owner-manager of the MT-Energie company. As a farmer´s son, skilled agricultural machinery mechanic with a degree in process engineering from the UAS Bremerhaven, he went into business for himself, founding the engineering company IdEA to be able to construct and develope on the grounds of biogas technology in 1995. Merely a year later, in 1996 he participated in the panning and construction of six biogas plants. During the following years he was involved in more than 30 biogas plant projects, was able to collect extensive practical experience and out of it developed many innovative special components for the field of biogas. Due to the air-supported foil covering which in the meantime had been spread by the thousandfold, Christoph Marten became a household name in the biogas line of business. In the year 2001 he founded MT-Energie to have the opportunity to produce standardized components as well as entire biogas plants by utilizing the developed special components.

As pioneer of the trade he will remain head of the company. In his position of general manager he decisively defines the company´s strategy and represents the company in numerous committees, such as the Trade Association Biogas. 

Bodo Drescher

(b. 1958), as member of the management, holds responsible for market analysis, marketing and sales, as well as public relations. After completing his agricultural studies at the UAS Osnabrück, he started his career as an advisor, followed by being employed by the Chamber of Agriculture in Schleswig-Holstein as an advisor in the business administrations department.

Afterwards he worked for almost ten years as an authorized agricultural expert for a major supra-regional bank. From 1997 onwards the financing of biogas plants was the focus of his professional attention. 

His previous experiences were the ideal basis for a transition to MT-Energie at the beginning of 2003. The basis for handling the demanding assignment of conducting respectable and lasting consulting services for our customers and to assist them with needed mercantile know-how in the regular course of business, far beyond the construction of the plant itself.

Torben Brunckhorst

(b. 1973), is commercial manager of the company. He pulls the strings in the finance-and human resources department. As skilled tax specialist and accountant he worked in a renowned joint-practice tax office for seven years.

These were followed by five years of work activity at a business consulting- and accountancy firm, where he attended to several major accounts, before leaving the firm in the beginning of 2004 to switch to MT-Energie. Due to his vast, longterm experience in consulting, he participates decisively in determining the company´s orientation and focus, as well as its growth strategy. Internal organisation in the area of trade, as well as trade partner relations are coordinated by him.
