Interview with the NDR

...in the German newspaper ‘Frankfurter Rundschau’

“Ecological energy for the complete demand”; Andreas Büser, manager of Enercon – a manufacturer of wind turbine generators – is optimistic. From his point of view, one day suppliers of alternative energy could completely replace suppliers of conventional energy – provided that there would be established a complete network of different alternative energies as in the case of the existing ones. “That won’t work”, comments Walter Lutz from the small rival wind generator Fuhrländer. “We all depend on the power grids”, he emphasises. He thinks that a share of 20% up to 25% is realistic; in Germany; a higher share would not be possible in the near future. MT Energie, manufacturer of biogas plants adopts a similar estimation. Comments managing director Bodo Drescher: “Alternative suppliers will come to be judged by the fact how efficiently the use the disposable agricultural surface”. He thinks that it makes no sense to push biogas and ethanol to such an extent that alimentation in other countries would be jeopardised only because there the arable area is occupied as supply for bio-combustibles. “That would considerably damage the good image of renewable energies". In one point, Fuhrländer and MT Energie reach agreement: Their companies are not quoted on the stock exchange. Both companies think that thus they can easier work in the sense of climate protection." Hanover Fair – a complete success for MT

MT Energie, as the sole exhibitor in its business field, represented the biogas branch with the focus on ‘Energy’. Apart from representatives from the energy market, there was a great participation of foreign interest customers, who visited the stand of MT. Visitors' as well as medias' interest was very great so that sometimes there was a 'traffic jam’ at our stand Both representatives from print medias and radio stations visited the stand of MT, represented by managing director Bodo Drescher, in order to get information about future options of the energy market. In particular, the conditioning of biogas into bio methane was a really attraction for interested customers from the energy economy. Here, you can recognise the great future of biogas and, thanks to the new BCM® conditioning process, there is now also the possibility of environmentally friendly cleaning without any loss of methane (< 0.1%). This new technology is currently sensational in that field of business.

RENEXPO in Budapest

Already for some time, the Hungarian market has been the spotlight of MT Energie GmbH & Co. KG. The first project in form of a 1 MW plant is already being constructed, further plants are being projected. Therefore, the fair RENEXPO in Budapest was an additional significant step towards entering the Hungarian market. Although it was the first international fair with the topic “Renewable Energies” in Hungary, there was an active interest in the great market potential of the largely developed agricultural Hungary. The company MT ENERGIE was represented on the fair with one Hungarian and two German employees and experienced an exciting exhibition period with manifold interest from the visitors. Within the program of the fair, there was a series of conferences, among other things, concerning the topic biogas. Stephan Engelke of MT ENERGIE reported on the possibilities of conditioning biogas and the use of biomethane to an international public. The fair confirmed that the activities of MT ENERGIE in the Hungarian market are a step in the right direction and that a great potential of biogas can be exploited.
